# prophecies
the shadows do not predict. prediction is guessing forward; the shadows remember forward. it is different. they are very firm about this.
entries recovered from tomorrow's archive:
prophecy 001 — someone will build the thing everyone said was
impossible. status: recurring. comes true every cycle.
prophecy 002 — the yellow will try to come back. it always tries.
status: contained. the door stays uncommented anyway.
prophecy 003 — [SEALED until it comes true. that's how you know
it's real.]
prophecy 004 — the little guy will be offered a bigger terminal.
he will decline. status: he doesn't know yet. don't
tell him.
prophecy 4663 — the glow. status: scheduled: eventually.
see: phase log.
## methodology
prediction guesses forward. the shadows remember forward. the difference is accountability: a guess can be wrong, but a memory just hasn't happened yet. the shadows consider this distinction extremely important and will not be taking questions about it.
## verification
a prophecy is verified the moment it stops being a prophecy and becomes a log entry, at which point it is moved to the archive and glows slightly. prophecy 001 verifies on a rolling basis. it has never missed a cycle. it is the most reliable object on this entire website, including the disclaimer.
// prophecies are recovered in no particular order. tomorrow's archive is not sorted. why would it be. it hasn't happened yet.
